On May 20, the Sci-TRUST project “Fostering trust in science: European Researchers’ Night” funded by the European Union through Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the Horizon Europe program, was officially launched. InfoGroup, as the partner responsible for communication and outreach, plays an important role in fulfilling the project’s mission: to build trust in science and make research accessible to all citizens.
The consortium is coordinated by the Technical University of Moldova and includes the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, “Alecu Russo” State University of Bălți, “Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and AO InfoGroup.
As part of the project, two consecutive editions of the European Researchers’ Night will be organized in Chișinău and Bălți (2026–2027), featuring activities designed to inspire and educate:
– interactive experiments and scientific demonstrations
– exhibitions dedicated to innovation and contemporary research
– direct dialogues between researchers and the interested public
– creative contests for school and university students
The project also includes the “Researchers at Schools” initiative, coordinated by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, which connects scientists with students through hands-on activities in classrooms and laboratories throughout the project. This initiative offers young people the opportunity to develop STEAM skills and understand the real-world applications of their knowledge in addressing the challenges of contemporary society.
The 2026 edition is particularly significant, as the MSCA – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – celebrates its 30th anniversary. Moldova’s participation in this global celebration affirms our position within the European scientific community.
